In the series World of Blossoms Jean Francois Debongnie brings life to flowers – both as iconographic floral signatures which capture the essential qualities of a flower rather than strict botanical representations, and as part of a landscape in grain fields. In these works Debongnie invites the viewers to feel the presence and power of nature through appreciating those little wild flowers, not only because they are the herald of summer, but also they are something you can see but miss easily as these wild flowers are short-lived. As in life, capturing the present moment and live our life to the fullest is the essence of being.
