Born in Milan in 1971, Raffaele Cioffi is a passionate lover of painting when in his teens and a graduate from Italy’s top art institution “Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera” in Milan, through years of exploration on light, shadow, lines and shades to reflect on canvas, these are fundamentals for the development of his art language, Raffaele becomes a master in expressing his abstract minimalistic perspective through his works. He is frequently invited by museum curators to exhibit his works: the Young Museum of Revere near Mantova in 2001, the Museo d’Arte Moderna in Varese in 2003, the Civico Museo Parisi-Valle at Maccagni in 2007 and the Museo Nazionale Villa Pisani at Venice in 2009, all solo exhibitions to name a few. Appreciating his works is an intriguing eye experiences of light spectrum, lines, interior/exterior perspective of shades, colors, shadows and boundless imagination that lead to the liberation of mind and inner soul. At present Raffaele lives and works in Milan.
