Hiroko creates beautiful floral works in Japanese painting tradition. She applies natural mineral pigments, gold and silver leaves on Japanese paper using the classical Nihonga technique. The Japanese landscape, in particular nature and flowers provide ample resources and artistic inspiration for Hiroko. Her works are depictions of scenes from daily life with subjects related to nature like birds, flowers, trees and butterflies. Hiroko’s works capture the naturalness and stillness of floralscapes which not only possess a high ideal of elegance but also bring a sense of tranquility to soothe our soul.
